One year ago today guests came streaming into Disney California Adventure as it re-opened its gates for the first time. That’s right, a year ago today Disney California Adventure had its grand reopening. For many, a highlight on Buena Vista Street was getting to see the Red Trolley Newsboys join up with Mickey Mouse who came out with his suitcase and a dream to chase after his dreams. A year ago today also offered guests the chance to check out Cars Land for the first time. For both, progress had been clearly evident leading up to the grand re-opening. Cadillac Range had been growing and growing for a couple of years. The tower of the Carthay Circle Restaurant also could be seen coming together. These signs of grown and reimagining just furthered the sense of anticipation for this day. So I do have to ask, what excited you most a year ago today when you were first able to see Buena Vista Street or Cars Land for the first time? What’s been your favorite new thing? Do you have a favorite new show?
I, for one, am very glad that Disney spent the money to get Buena Vista Street and Cars Land done right. They are both gorgeous places to visit at the Disneyland Resort. I hope they learn from the lessons of quality and storytelling that can be found in these to areas. Happy Birthday Buena Vista Street and Cars Land!
Make it a GREAT day!
